Your First Day
If you’re reading this you’re interested in trying out our gym! This page will serve to answer some of the frequently asked questions about getting started and what to expect.
First thing you want to look at is the class schedule.
Since your entire first day is free, it’s a good idea to choose a day that has several classes you want to try out.
- Example: try a 5pm conditioning class, and then stick around for kickboxing at 6pm. This way, you are able to experience a variety of training to see what you will like.
Arrive 15 min early to check in. Please note: If you are under 18 you must have a legal guardian accompany you to sign the waiver.
During your first day, you will be taught basics such as: proper stance, striking technique, or basic submissions and escapes.
Beginners may attend any class on their first day except the Wednesday and Friday 7pm advanced drill/sparring. Speak with Coach Sky if you are interested in attending these classes.
Have fun! Don’t worry about being a beginner, even George St. Pierre was a beginner once!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
WHAT GEAR WILL I NEED?
HOW ARE THE CLASSES STRUCTURED?
We hope this will answer some of your main questions, and please do not hesitate to contact us for any further questions (email is the best way). We make it a point to never expect a student to simply sink or swim, and figure things out on their own. We want everyone who comes here to feel welcome regardless of experience or fitness level. It is our goal that every person who enters our doors feels they have been improved in some way by their visit, every time.
